Blogtober – Change

The last month of change has made me think about how much I’ve changed in the past few years. Things I used to run away from get the husband or a friend to do for me (anything official I was scared of messing up) I now do without thinking about.

I’ve come a hell of a long way from that first day alone with a German phrase book and a smile. I’ve been complimented and shouted at by strangers. I’ve been used and abused by so called friends. I’ve laughed and cried over the stupidest things and changed in ways I never thought I could have, but I have.

And I thank Germany for that, for truly shaping the third decade of my life. In celebration of this I will be posting a weekly series entitled…..

Has Germany changed you?
