I am currently living in Hannover and am considering moving. What are the biggest differences between Stuttgart and your previous location? Have you always lived in small towns in Germany? I`m a big city girl and wonder if I would rather live and work in a smaller town, or live in the city and commute.

The biggest difference is maybe that Stuttgart is friendlier but I think that goes for Baden-Württemberg over Bavaria. I’m a small town woman myself, living in the city for 3+ years was enough, I prefer a community feel to city anonymity but can understand why that wouldn’t suit some people. Public transport is fab so either way you’ll be able to access the country or the city conveniently. And if you end up somewhere you don’t like, you can always move?
